How to Setup guard on patrol management system
Guard Setup allows you to assign a name to an RF tag or RF ID used by a patrol guard. This helps identify which guard is associated with each patrol record.
Step 1: Connect the Registered Reader
Connect the registered reader to your computer.
If you have not registered the reader yet, refer to the guide How to Connect and Register WM-5000V4S and WM-5000V5 Devices in the Patrol Management System.
Step 2: Open Basic Operations
In the Patrol Management System, click Basic Operations.
Step 3: Clear the Reader Data
Click Clear Reader Data to clear all data logs stored in the reader.
Important: Make sure you no longer need the existing logs before clearing the reader data.
Step 4: Scan the Guard's RF Tag or RF ID
Disconnect the reader from your computer, then scan the RF tag or RF ID assigned to the patrol guard.
Step 5: Reconnect the Reader
After scanning the guard's RF tag or RF ID, reconnect the reader to your computer.
Step 6: Read the Data
Open Basic Operations.
Click Read Data to retrieve the scanned information from the reader.
Step 7: Set Up the Guard
Navigate to Patrol Setup → Guard Setup.
Click Batch Read to retrieve the scanned RF tag or RF ID.
Click Modify Guard to edit the guard's name.
Enter the appropriate guard name.
Step 8: Finish the Setup
Click Exit to complete the setup.
Completion
The guard's information has now been configured in the Patrol Management System. Verify that the correct guard name is associated with the scanned RF tag or RF ID.
