CardExchange Installation and Activation Guide

This guide explains how to install CardExchange Producer and activate your license using the HDD-based Machine ID utility.

Step 1: Install CardExchange Producer

  1. Download the latest version of CardExchange Producer from the official download page:

  2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. If Microsoft Access Database Engine is not installed on your computer, the installer may prompt you to install it. This process requires an internet connection.

If you do not have an internet connection:

  1. When prompted to install Microsoft Access Database Engine, select Install.
  2. In the next prompt, select No.

  3. Manually download the 32-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine from:

Step 2: Generate Your Machine ID

  1. Download 4-MachineID Exchange Utility (Alternative - HDD based) from:

    https://cardexchange.support/resource/downloads/network-utilities

  2. Run the utility on the host computer where CardExchange will be installed and used.
  3. Record the Machine ID generated by the utility. It should begin with 4-xxxxx.

Keep this Machine ID available for the license activation process.

 

Step 3: Activate Your License Online

  1. Open the CardExchange License Activation page:

    https://cardexchange.support/resource/product-activation

  2. Enter your license details.
  3. Select Lookup.
  4. Enter the Machine ID generated in Step 2.
  5. Select Activate.

Step 4: Download the License File

  1. After activation, download the generated license file with the .LIC extension.
  2. Save the file or transfer it to the host computer where CardExchange is installed.

Make sure you know where the file is saved so you can locate it in the next step.


Step 5: Activate CardExchange Using the License File

  1. Launch CardExchange Producer.
  2. Select Activate.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Browse to the downloaded .LIC file and select it.

Step 6: Complete Activation

  1. Select Activate.
  2. Select Finish to complete the process.

CardExchange should now be activated. Open the application and verify that the license is recognized.

Troubleshooting

  • Microsoft Access Database Engine installation fails: Refer to the force-installation guide linked in Step 1.
  • Machine ID is incorrect or unavailable: Make sure you ran the HDD-based Machine ID utility on the host computer where CardExchange is installed.
  • License file cannot be found: Check where the .LIC file was downloaded or transferred.
  • Activation does not complete: Recheck the license details and Machine ID entered on the activation page.
