YMCKUv Tipid Feature

The YMCKUv Tipid Feature helps reduce dye film consumption when printing cards using a DNP retransfer printer.

With the correct settings, you can print up to 750 cards using 1x YMCKUv dye film and 3x retransfer films.

Required Printing Settings

  • Front side: YMC + UV

  • Back side: K Only

Important: This feature will not work if ECO MODE is disabled. Make sure ECO MODE is enabled before printing.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open DNP Maintenance Tools

Download or locate the appropriate DNP Maintenance Tools version for your printer resolution:



  • 300 DPI: CX-D80_MT(18_12_26_0)

  • 600 DPI: CX-D80H_MT(18_12_26_0)


Step 2: Run the Maintenance Tool

Locate and run the following application:

CX7600MT.exe



Step 3: Select the Printer

In the maintenance tool, click Printer Select.



Step 4: Exit the Printer Selection Screen

Click Exit to return to the main maintenance tool interface.



Step 5: Enter Service Mode

Select Service Mode.



Step 6: Enable ECO MODE

  1. Enable ECO MODE.

  2. Click Change Printer Settings of NVR to save the printer settings.

Make sure ECO MODE is enabled before proceeding to the printing configuration.



Step 7: Open Printing Preferences

  1. Exit the DNP Maintenance Tool.

  2. Open the printer's Printing Preferences on your computer.

Step 8: Configure the Front and Back Printing Settings

  1. Open the Print tab.

  2. Set the front side to YMC + UV.

  3. Set the back side to K (K Only).

Step 9: Open UV Ink Settings

Click the UV Ink button to configure the UV printing options.



Step 10: Select Page Split

Select Page Split for both the front side and the back side.


Step 11: Apply the Settings and Print

  1. Click OK.

  2. Click Apply.

  3. Proceed with printing your cards.

Final Checklist

Before printing, confirm that:

  • ECO MODE is enabled.
  • The correct maintenance tool version is used for the printer resolution.
  • The front side is set to YMC + UV.
  • The back side is set to K Only.
  • Page Split is selected for both sides.
  • The settings have been applied.

When configured correctly, the YMCKUv Tipid Feature allows you to print up to 750 cards with 1x YMCKUv dye film and 3x retransfer films.
