Magicard Printers - Dual sided settings (Full Guide)

This guide explains how to configure the printer driver settings for double-sided printing on supported Magicard ID printers. The steps cover accessing the settings through Windows Printing or CardExchange, followed by the recommended configurations for different ribbon types.

1. Access the Printer Driver Settings

Option A: Through Windows Printing

Follow the Windows printing procedure shown in the guide to access the Magicard printer driver settings.




Option B: Through CardExchange

If you are using CardExchange software, follow the CardExchange procedure shown in the guide to open the printer driver settings.





2. Configure the Dual-Sided Printing Settings

Choose the configuration that matches your ribbon type and desired printing output.

A. Color Printing on Both Sides

Compatible ribbons: MA300YMCKO or XX300YMCKO

  • Configure the printer for color printing on both the front and back of the card, following the settings shown in the reference screenshots.

  • Expected yield: 150 cards per ribbon, provided there are no printing errors or rejected cards.




B. Color Front and Black Back

Compatible ribbons: MA300YMCKO or XX300YMCKO

  • Configure the printer for color printing on the front and black printing on the back, following the settings shown in the reference screenshots.

  • Expected yield: 300 cards per ribbon, provided there are no printing errors or rejected cards.




C. Color Front and Black Back Using YMCKOK Ribbon

Compatible ribbons: MA250YMCKOK or XX250YMCKOK

  • Configure the printer for color printing on the front and black printing on the back, following the settings shown in the reference screenshots.

  • Expected yield: 250 cards per ribbon, provided there are no printing errors or rejected cards.




3. Apply the Settings

After configuring the printer driver:

  1. Double-check your settings against the screenshots in the original guide.

  2. Click Apply.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Verify the printer settings before starting a print job.

4. Important Reminders

  • These settings apply only to supported dual-sided Magicard ID printers: Enduro 3E, Rio Pro 360, and NEO Series.

  • Always verify the printer settings before printing.

  • For the Magicard Rio Pro 360, update the printer firmware to the latest version.
