How to Use Promag TS50 RFID Scanner (Beginner’s Guide)

1. Connecting the Device

  • Plug the TS50 scanner into your PC/laptop via USB.

  • Most models are plug-and-play, meaning Windows (and some Linux) auto-installs the driver.

2. Testing the Scanner

  • Open a text editor (like Notepad or MS Word).

  • Place an RFID card/tag near the scanner.

  • If it’s working, the card number/code should appear instantly on your screen.

  • By default, the TS50 works like a keyboard emulator (it "types" the card ID wherever your cursor is).
