How to rewrite stickers using MAWARI UHF reader

If you do not have a UE600 UHF Reader/Writer, you can use a MAWARI UHF reader to rewrite UHF stickers.

Important Notes:

  • Rewriting stickers with a MAWARI UHF reader may require more steps than using a UE600 Reader/Writer.

  • You must install the UHF Reader application before proceeding. Contact CCS Technical Support to obtain the application.

  • Adjust the reader's range carefully to avoid accidentally rewriting the wrong UHF sticker.

Step 1: Connect the MAWARI UHF Reader

  1. Connect the MAWARI UHF reader to your computer using a LAN cable.

Step 2: Configure the Connection

  1. Open the UHF Reader application.

  2. Select Internet as the connection method.

  3. Enter the IP address of your MAWARI UHF reader.

    Default IP address:
    192.168.1.200

  4. Connect to the reader.

  5. Verify that the application displays Connect success before proceeding.

Step 3: Open the EPC Gen2 Settings

  1. Navigate to the EPC Gen2 tab.

  2. Locate the available tag-writing options.




Step 4: Configure the Write Parameters

  1. Select Secwrite.

  2. Set the following parameters:

    • AskMembank: EPC

    • StartAddr: 2

    • Length: 2

  3. Verify that all parameters match the values above before continuing.



Step 5: Enter the New Sticker Value

  1. Enter the new 8-digit hexadecimal value in the designated input field.

  2. Before clicking Execute, make sure the reader is positioned or configured so that it will communicate only with the intended UHF sticker.

  3. Click Execute to begin rewriting the sticker.

AlertImportant: Keep the reader's range as limited as practical to avoid accidentally rewriting another nearby UHF sticker.



Step 6: Verify the Result

  1. Check the application's System Information section.

  2. If the rewrite is successful, the application should display Tag write success.

If this message does not appear, do not assume the sticker was rewritten successfully. Check the connection and settings before trying again.




Completion

The UHF sticker should now contain the new value if the application reports Tag write success.
