How to remove Signature background in Google docs - Topaz Signature Pad

When capturing a signature using a Topaz Signature Pad, the saved image may include a background. You can remove this background using an online background-removal tool before inserting the signature into Google Docs.

Follow the steps below to prepare your signature image.

Step 1: Capture Your Signature

  1. Open the DemoOCX software.
  2. Click Start and sign using your Topaz Signature Pad.

      

Step 2: Adjust the Signature Settings

  1. Go to Properties.
  2. Open the Image tab.
  3. Set Pen Width to 5 or higher.
  4. Change the File Format to 4.

Step 3: Save the Signature Image

  1. Click Save Img.
  2. Save the signature image in .JPG format.
  3. Remember the location where you saved the file.

Step 4: Remove the Background

  1. Visit remove.bg.
  2. Upload the saved signature image.
  3. Wait for the background-removal process to finish.
  4. Download the processed image.

Step 5: Insert the Signature into Google Docs

  1. Open your Google Docs document.
  2. Select Insert.
  3. Choose Image.
  4. Select Insert image over cells, as indicated in the original guide.
  5. Locate and select the processed signature image you downloaded.

Your signature should now appear without its original background.


Troubleshooting

If the signature background is still visible:

  • Make sure you uploaded the correct signature image to remove.bg.
  • Confirm that you downloaded the processed image rather than the original file.
  • Insert the newly downloaded image into Google Docs.
