Anviz - How to export records from device and import to crosschex using USB flash drive

This guide explains how to export biometric attendance records from an Anviz device and import them into CrossChex Standard using a USB flash drive.

This method is useful when the Anviz device is not connected to the network and you need to transfer its records to CrossChex Standard.

Requirements

Before starting, prepare the following:

  • An Anviz biometric device. This guide uses the Anviz C2Pro as an example.

  • A USB flash drive. The original guide uses a 16 GB flash drive and notes that drives smaller than 16 GB may work.

  • A PC or laptop with CrossChex Standard installed.

Note: The original guide mentions Kingston and SanDisk as flash drive brands that have worked with the device. Compatibility may vary.


Step 1: Insert the USB Flash Drive

Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the Anviz device.

On the Anviz C2Pro, the USB port is located at the upper-left corner of the device.


Step 2: Open the Record Export Menu

On the Anviz device, navigate to:

Menu > Data > Export > Records


Step 3: Start Exporting the Records

  1. Click OK.

  2. Select Export.


Step 4: Confirm the Export

  1. Click OK to export all records.

  2. Wait for the export process to finish.


A confirmation screen should appear when the records have been exported successfully.

Troubleshooting: If the confirmation screen does not appear, try using a different USB flash drive.


Step 5: Connect the USB Drive to Your PC

  1. Remove the USB flash drive from the Anviz device.

  2. Insert it into your PC or laptop.

  3. Open the USB drive in File Explorer.




Locate the exported records in the 00000001 folder.

Step 6: Open CrossChex Standard

Launch CrossChex Standard on your PC.

Navigate to:

Device > U Operation



Step 7: Read Records from the USB Drive

  1. Click Read Records from USB Drive.

  2. Click Yes when prompted.

  3. Wait for the import process to complete.

  4. Click Close to finish.

Step 8: Confirm the Import


The records should now be imported into CrossChex Standard.

Once the process is complete, you can safely remove the USB flash drive.
