You can connect a compatible DSLR camera to CardExchange Producer to capture photos directly within the software. Follow the steps below to configure your camera and take photos.

Step 1: Connect the DSLR Camera

1. Connect your DSLR camera to the computer using a USB cable.
2. Most compatible DSLR cameras use a USB Mini-B to USB cable.

Note: Check the CardExchange Supported Devices page to confirm whether your camera model is compatible.

Step 2: Open Photo Options in CardExchange

1. Open CardExchange Producer.
2. Select the template you want to use.
3. Navigate to the Photos tab.
4. Select Photo Options.

Important: Ensure the template's layout has an image field connected to the database and photo folder.

Step 3: Select Your Camera

1. In the camera selection options, select Canon EOS.
2. Find and select your specific camera model.

Step 4: Configure the Photo Resolution

1. Choose your preferred photo resolution.
2. Click OK to save your settings.

Step 5: Capture a Photo

1. Select Take Photo.
2. Use the connected DSLR camera to capture the photo.

The captured photo should be added to the selected template according to its configuration.
