Adding and Configuring a Photo in the Card Designer

The following images show an example of the expected output after configuring the photo field.

Step 1: Insert an Image

1. Go to the Insert tab.
2. Click Image.
3. Drag the image object to the desired location on the card.

Step 2: Set the Image Type

1. Click the Fixed Image drop-down menu.
2. Select Photo.

Note: Select Photo if the image needs to be linked to a database field and displayed dynamically for each record.

Step 3: Select the Image Folder

1. In the Image settings, locate the Image Folder option.
2. Click the ... button to browse for the folder.

Step 4: Select the Photo Folder

1. Navigate to your database folder.
2. Select the Photo folder.
3. Click OK.

Note: Make sure the selected folder contains the photos associated with the records in your database.

Step 5: Select the Database Column

1. Locate the Column option.
2. Select the Primary Key / ID Number column.

Important: Always select the Primary Key / ID Number that uniquely identifies each record. This allows the correct photo to be associated with each database record.

Step 6: Configure the Image Position

1. Go to the Position tab.
2. Set the following options:
   • Horizontal Alignment: Center
   • Vertical Alignment: Center
   • Stretch: Uniform
3. Click Border.

Step 7: Configure the Corner Radius

Set the corner radius to the following values:

• Top-left: 0.75
• Top-right: 0.75
• Bottom-left: 0.75
• Bottom-right: 0.75

This will give the photo rounded corners.

Step 8: Save the Configuration

1. Click Save.
2. Exit the Card Designer.
3. Verify the card layout and print a test card to confirm that the photo is displayed correctly.

Expected Result

After completing the configuration, the photo should automatically be retrieved from the selected photo folder based on the Primary Key / ID Number of the database record.

The photo should also be:

• Centered horizontally and vertically.
• Scaled proportionally using Uniform stretch.
• Displayed with rounded corners.
