Add Print Date

This guide explains how to add an IssuanceDate column, connect it to a storage item, and configure the Card Designer to use the print date. After setup, the system will automatically update the date each time a card is printed.

Step 1 — Create a New Column

1. Open your Excel database and create a new data column.
2. Name the column IssuanceDate.

Step 2 — Configure the Column

1. Open the settings for the new data column.
2. Turn off (uncheck) the Editable option.
This prevents the value from being manually edited through the normal data-entry process.

Step 3 — Add a Storage Item

1. Go to the Storage Items section.
2. Click Add.
3. Enter the storage item information using the settings below:

Property
What to enter
Item Name
Enter a name for the storage item, such as Photo or Print Date.
Table Name
Select the database table where the data will be stored.
Primary Key
Select the primary key from the chosen table.
Column Name
Select the appropriate column from the chosen table.

4. Enable Store data after printing a card.
5. Click Finish to save the storage item configuration.

Step 4 — Configure the Card Designer

1. Open the Card Designer.
2. Go to Data.
3. Click Storage Items and select IssuanceDate.


Step 5 — Set the Print Date Properties

1. Change Fixed Value to Print date.
2. Under Format Option, select Date/Time.
3. In the format field, enter F.

4. Save and close the Card Designer.

Once the configuration is complete, the system will automatically save the print date to IssuanceDate whenever a card is printed.
